Here we go folks, with the next excerpt from Joe's Christmas:
" - Joe ran into the living room to find mummy. " Saw Jacob" he told her and jumped onto her knee spilling the mug of milk balanced on the side of the chair. "Oh Joe," sighed his Mum going to mop it up and feeling suddenly tearful. That saying about spilt milk came into her head and made her feel even worse or was it that Christmas was nearly here and she hadn't got Joe any presents yet. Either way she felt bad and bundled Joe off to bed rather sharply. Asking for a story, Joe picked 'Trucks' his favourite for now which his mum found totally boring. This seemed the last straw in an endless thankless day. Managing to kiss Joe goodnight but heedless to his cries for another story, she fled into the living room and crouched by the fire and the light of the television, Christmas. Joe's Christmas. How to make it a good one, all right for him, for her, for them."
There we are!! Now we have met little Joe, and Joe's mum - here she is in the living room a bit later on in the story, because she has her list now, and also if you have a closer look there is the little glass paperweight or snowstorm, on top of the television - it a tree inside and a star.....................
Tomorrow we will meet Neddy Rocker and find out where he comes from too. Big Love Wonka XX
